We have received an overwhelming number of entries and interest in the parade. More than 85 entries, including floats and various businesses as we Celebrate the Past, Present and Future of South Lake Tahoe.
The Grand Marshall will be the Class of 1965! They will lead the parade in various classic "aka really cool" cars.
Parade participants will stage on Lake Tahoe Blvd near and around Tata Lane, D Street and Julie Avenue. Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and travel eastbound on Highway 50 - traveling through the intersections on Highway 50, past Tahoe Keys, Sierra Blvd to Al Tahoe Blvd. Parade participants will turn Right on Al Tahoe Blvd, and end at Bijou Park.
"Party at the Bijou Park" - Grand Opening and Dedication of new Bijou Bike Park
The parade will conclude at the Bijou Bike Park where the City will host a grand "Party at the Park." Events include the following:
11:30-12:00 parade concludes
12:00 - City hosts complimentary BBQ of hot dogs and hamburgers - donations to the Bijou Bike Park Association will be gratefully accepted by BBPA (other food options for sale will be available)
12:30 - New Bijou Bike Park Opening and Special Dedication of the Park 1:00 - Bike Course open to public 1:30 - Police "Bike Rodeo" for kids 2:00 - "Jump Jam" on slopestyle line 3:00 - BMX bike race all day - Derby Dames Events
