Reach Codes

A reach code is a local building energy code which reaches beyond the minimum requirements of the state. Adopting more stringent energy requirements for building design and construction can allow local government to reduce emissions, lower utility bills, provide safer buildings, and improve public health.

The City of South Lake Tahoe has engaged a consultant to help us determine the best plan for implementing a reach code. Upcoming stakeholder engagement meetings will take place this fall or winter. Please check back here or reach out to sletton@cityofslt.us to be added to an outreach list.

Additional information will be posted regularly during the public stakeholder engagement process.
