Recreation and Swim Complex

Recreation and Swim Complex will reopen April 26th, 2021

Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:00pm

We are pleased to announce the pool will reopen and our COVID-19 operations plan has been approved for limited lap swim and water exercise by reservation only. 

Here is how it works:

  1. Log onto Sports Sign up
  2. Select Swim Sessions desired (book up to 2 weeks in advance)
  3. Complete reservation and pay upon arrival.

Upon Arrival be advised:

  1. Do not swim if you are sick
  2. Face coverings are required when not swimming
  3. Follow signage to front desk check-in. You will be required to sign a COVID Waiver and the standard sign-in sheet at the front desk.
  4. Pay for your session or show your pass
  5. Your temperature will be taken with a hand -held scanner
  6. Maintain a minimum of 6ft distance from others at all times
  7. Enjoy your long-awaited lap swim session.

Please cancel your reservation by phone (530-542-5056) if you are unable to swim on the day of your reservation so others who may be on the waiting list have an opportunity to swim.

The gymnasium, weight room, craft room, meeting rooms, kitchen, outdoor picnic area, and bathrooms are not open to the public at this time. 


The City of South Lake Tahoe Recreation & Swim Complex consists of the following:

  • 25-yard indoor/outdoor year-round swimming pool
  • Changing / shower facilities
  • Crafts room
  • Gymnasium
  • Pickleball
  • Kitchen
  • Outdoor volleyball and basketball courts
  • Parks and Recreation Department offices
  • Picnic area
  • Various meeting rooms
  • Weight room

 All children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. This is consistent with California State Law and the California Public Risk Sharing Authority guidelines.
