The City's Strategic Priorities support the following economic development tasks:

  • Identify what resources are necessary to create a transit and mobility hub at the Hwy 50 x 89 area with the goal of increasing walkability, multi modal travel to decrease vehicle trips;
  • Develop marketing, programs and amenities that help reimagine quality of life for residents, businesses and visitors;
  • Work with partner agencies, chambers and businesses to ensure economic stability, workforce opportunities, continuity of services and business operations particularly during disasters and unforeseen events; and
  • Capitalize on grant funding and development projects to enhance City infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life, recreational experience and climate resiliency for residents and visitors.
