El DORADO COUNTY TEMPORARILY CANCELS ALL OLDER ADULT PROGRAMS AND GATHERING TO PROTECT HIGHER RISK RESIDENTS
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, 2020, all El Dorado County Senior Nutrition Program congregate meal sites will be closed for dine-in lunches. Meals will be available for pick-up only, by reservation, at designated congregate meal sites. Seniors interested in reserving a meal for pick-up and who have questions should call Senior Nutrition at (530) 621-6160. The Senior Nutrition Program will continue to operate its Home Delivered Meal Program to serve more home bound older adults.

Facilities
The City of South Lake Tahoe Senior Center is an activity center that brings social, recreational, and educational opportunities to the over fifty population of South Lake Tahoe. The 10,000-square-foot facility offers both drop-in, scheduled programs, and fun events, for all interests!

AARP Tax Aide Free Services
This service is available starting February 6th thru April 13th 2020 Mondays 12 PM-4 PM Thursdays 9 AM-1 PM Saturdays 9 AM- 1 PM No Appointments - Arrive with all necessary information
Legal Services
Senior legal services are available for El Dorado residents age 60 or older. Services are provided regardless of income, and are provided on the first Wednesday of each month. For an appointment, please call (530) 621-6154.
Family Caregiver Support Program
This program is offered by El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency. This group meets the First Wednesday of each month, 3 PM-4:30 PM. No appointment is necessary.
IHSS Public Authority
The mission of the IHSS Public Authority is to improve the lives of In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) recipients by ensuring access to skilled providers who can help them sustain independent living, to provide training and support for a positive working relationship and to improve the delivery of the IHSS program. This group meets the Third Wednesday of each month from 9:30 AM-12 PM. No appointment is necessary.
Nutrition Program
The Senior Center offers a nutritional program Monday through Friday at 12:00 noon. A donation of $3 is suggested, but not required, for lunch. 530-573-3130

Big Band Dances
All ages are invited to attend the Big Band dances held at the Senior Center. The 17-piece Tahoe Dance Band performs the last Friday of each month from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm with holiday exceptions. View a printable copy of 2020 Schedule (PDF)
Admission is $15 and $12 for Members.
