[ARCHIVED] Commemorative Book Honors City’s First 50 Years

In honor of its 50th Anniversary, the City of South Lake Tahoe created a commemorative 123 page book chronicling its first 50 years of incorporation. The book is titled “A Small Town with a Big View” and is available for purchase at City Hall located at 1901 Airport Road. The cost of the book is $25.00 and payments of check and cash are accepted.

The chapters of the book include; A City is Born, Laying the Foundation, Getting Creative, Welcome to South Lake Tahoe, Collaboration is Key, A Vision Realized, and Looking to the Future.

Also included is a forward by Del Laine, former Mayor and City of South Lake Tahoe Councilmember and an introduction by Hal Cole, current Mayor of the City of South Lake Tahoe.

To purchase a copy of the commemorative book, city offices are open Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
