The City of South Lake Tahoe is preparing Design Guidelines to complement the adopted design standards and help property owners visualize how to meet the required standards. The first public meeting was hosted by the Planning Commission on Jan. 21st. Approximately 25 people attended and voiced their opinions to help improve South Lake Tahoe’s visual appearance.
An online survey has been set up so those who were not able to attend can still provide input. The survey includes character images that will be used to help understand the community’s vision for South Lake Tahoe’s aesthetic quality. The survey is open from Jan. 21 through Jan. 29.

The next public meeting will be Wednesday, February 17th from 5:00-7:00 to review the Draft Design Guidelines in the City Council Chambers located at 1901 Airport Road.
