The City of South Lake Tahoe will be hosting the 1st Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 5pm-7:30pm at Lakeview Commons at El Dorado Beach. The entire community is invited to attend this event as we say “thank you” to all law enforcement on the South Shore, including California and Nevada.
At the August 16, 2016 City Council meeting, Councilmember Tom Davis asked for Council’s support of hosting a Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. With Council’s unanimous support, the event has been scheduled for September 15th.
This is a multiagency event and we will be showing our appreciation to;
• California Highway Patrol
• Douglas County Sherriff Department
• El Dorado County Probation Department
• El Dorado County Sherriff Department (STAR and Search & Rescue)
• FBI (South Lake Tahoe Division)
• Nevada Highway Patrol
• SLEDNET
• South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPCA and SWAT)
• USFS Law Enforcement
This will be an opportunity for the community to show South Lake Tahoe’s finest men and women how much we appreciate them keeping us safe with their service and sacrifices to our community! Local music group “Taking Root” will be playing a free concert at Lakeview Commons with the help of On Course events. Craft tables will be set up to make thank you cards and posters for all agencies.
We hope you can join us for this event.
