Please join us for a neighborhood discussion of traffic circulation in the Herbert Avenue area and potential alternatives. The evening will include a presentation by LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. and community discussion on Wednesday, October 25th, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the Senior Center, 3050 Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. is a multimodal transportation engineering and planning firm, with offices in Tahoe City as well as in Colorado. The Tahoe City office, established in 1993, is the only transportation planning/engineering consulting office in the Tahoe Basin. Over the years, LSC (with Gordon Shaw and Sara Hawley as Principals), has conducted over 400 traffic, parking, transit, and bicycle/pedestrian studies throughout the Tahoe Region. Clients have included every local jurisdiction in the basin, various public agencies, as well as private developers. The firm is the on-call traffic engineer for the Town of Truckee, and has also served as the on-call traffic engineer for the City of South Lake Tahoe. In South Lake Tahoe, it has conducted traffic studies for the General Plan, Area Plans, redevelopment plans as well as transit and bicycle/pedestrian studies. These studies have given the LSC staff a very good understanding of the unique transportation conditions and demands of the Tahoe/Truckee Region.
