[ARCHIVED] Take a Survey about the City's Fire Department

The City of South Lake Tahoe is developing its fire department “Standards of Cover” document to present to the City Council. The purpose of this document is to look at the demographics of our community, the fire hazards both natural and manmade and compare that to the current fire departments capacity. The document and public input will provide our elected officials the opportunity to alter our system (improve, keep status quo, or downgrade the current delivery system).

We offer this questioner to gain some public input into the process and to help us develop a public presentation on the current status of fire protection within our City. We encourage you to take this survey and provide some input. The Fire Department was one of the 3 major reasons the City was formed in 1965, and the organization has gone through a multitude of changes during the last 50 years.

South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue exists to serve its residents and visitors.

Thank you for taking the time to take this survey, please watch for an announcement on a public meeting on this very topic.
