Due
to great success, the Recreation Swim Complex will be offering a second session
of the “Master’s Swim Class” from July 24th to August 30th on
Tuesdays and Thursday’s from 7am – 8am.
The
cost is $60 for the entire session or $10/class drop-in fee.
Swim
instruction will be provided by Derek Beller. Derek Beller has been active as
an aquatics professional with the City of South Lake Tahoe for 20 years. Derek
brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to all of those desiring
to improve their swimming ability. Derek holds certification in lifeguarding,
water safety instruction and he is certified as a swim coach through USA
Swimming, ASCA and US Masters Swimming. Derek’s passion for the sport has led
to coaching opportunities with Lake Tahoe Community College, South Tahoe High
School and Tahoe Swim Club. Derek has taught and coached two generations of
swimmers and has a regular following of students who look forward to his
classes.
