South Lake Tahoe, CA- City Council gave the green light to adult-use cannabis businesses in South Lake Tahoe. They made the decision at their most recent city council meeting.
Today, Development Services released the documents which describe how adult use cannabis businesses will operate within our community. They also include the application guidelines, which spell out the selection process for cannabis operators. Those documents can be viewed here.
“As we start the process of allowing adult-use cannabis businesses in our community we want to make sure we have a good working relationship with these businesses and business owners,” said Kevin Fabino, Development Services Director, “It’s important to us that all businesses have a chance the thrive and be successful here in South Lake Tahoe.”
Before they operate in the city though, these selected businesses will have to enter into a development agreement with the City. Applications are being accepted March 11-April 5. The selection process is set up to ensure all applicants are treated equally and fairly in this competitive process.
After all the applications are received, Development Services will have at least 60 days to review and score the applications.
