[ARCHIVED] The City of South Lake Tahoe is Looking for Volunteers!

Do you have some free time you’d like to donate? Do you have an interest in learning more about your local government? If you have 4-5 hours per week you’d like to donate, then sign up as a volunteer today!

THINGS YOU MIGHT DO AS A VOLUNTEER:

Volunteer will have the opportunity to gain experience working in an office environment and learn about municipal government functions by performing a variety of administrative support tasks related to a department/field of your interest.

The City of South Lake Tahoe has the following non-paid positions available:

Aviation Related Special Projects
Volunteer Code Enforcement Ranger
Communications Department
Community Services
Planning Department
Engineering Department
Docent at Explore Tahoe
Finance Department
Police Department
Greeter at City Offices

Volunteers may work up to approximately 20 hours per week. In most cases, volunteer hours can be arranged around other commitments. Pertinent training will be provided by the respective Department in order to perform specified tasks. Interested volunteers may obtain volunteer application and assignment descriptions at 1901 Airport Road or on the City’s website: www.cityofslt.us or call the Volunteer Corps at (530) 542-6093.
