South Lake Tahoe, CA- Beginning July 21st, South Lake Tahoe Police will start doing live scan fingerprinting again. It will be offered on Tuesday and Thursdays, by appointment only. Please call (530) 542-6100 to make an appointment and to call when you arrive.
There will be facemasks/hand sanitizer at the front door and the CSO will take your temperature with a touchless forehead scanning thermometer. Use of all three will be required before entry into the lobby is allowed and only one member of the public will be allowed in the lobby at a time.
We are the only agency in the basin offering Live Scan services currently and with the school year approaching, we understand the need to provide this for our community.
All SLTPD employees are temperature and health screened at the beginning of their shifts and will also be wearing appropriate PPE while in contact with the public. The Live Scan machine is disinfected between each use.
Our lobby remains closed for all other business at this time due to COVID-19 and building construction. All public services are being handled by phone (530) 542-6100 or email Pdrecords@cityofslt.us
