South Lake Tahoe, CA- The five finalists have been selected to be the new Police Chief in South Lake Tahoe. They are:

- Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice, Master’s Degree Public Administration
- Lieutenant Tina Jones, Portland Police Bureau
- Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice
- Lieutenant Shannon Laney, South Lake Tahoe Police Department
- Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice
- Deputy Chief Katherine Lester, Sacramento Police Department
- Bachelor’s Degree Government - International Relations, Master’s Degree Geosciences
- Lieutenant David Stevenson, South Lake Tahoe Police Department
- Bachelor’s Degree Criminal Justice
The community was asked to submit questions to make sure their voice was heard during the Police Chief recruitment process.
“Now more than ever, it’s important to make sure our community’s voice is heard during this process,” said City Manager Joe Irvin, “Our police department has been dedicated to this community’s safety and security and we expect our next leader will keep it that way.”
