[ARCHIVED] City launches ‘Community Conversations’ town hall series

community conversations

South Lake Tahoe, CA- A new town hall series from the City of South Lake Tahoe will launch tomorrow. The series, called “Community Conversations,” will be a quarterly discussion and a chance for a real dialogue about topics you care about.

“It’s an opportunity for the City to highlight issues and projects we’re working on and gives people a chance to ask questions directly to City leadership,” said City Manager Joe Irvin, “The more we are all able to have a healthy discussion, the easier it will be to move South Lake Tahoe forward.”

The first “Community Conversation,” will be virtual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we hope to hold future events in person. These Community Conversations will include the City Manager and City department heads. Though the event will start with an update, most of the town hall will be Q&A.

“Each one of these will be a chance for us to understand what people want out of the City of South Lake Tahoe,” said Irvin, “We will take what we learn from these conversations and use that knowledge to make our work more effective in our community.”
