South Lake Tahoe, CA- At approximately 5:45 am this morning a rockslide occurred on US-50 at Echo Summit near the dry bridge. A Toyota forerunner was involved in the slide but no injuries were reported. At this time, all lanes are blocked and alternate routes are recommended. Per Caltrans, Johnson Pass Road has just been cleared and is now open, however, expect some delays when using this route. The estimated time to reopen US-50 is 4-6 hours as of 7:52 am this morning.
