[ARCHIVED] City of South Lake Tahoe along with local agencies plan virtual activities for Earth Week

Earth week starts on Monday, April 19th and there are many ways that you can participate! The City of South Lake Tahoe has partnered with Take Care Tahoe and other local agencies to put together a virtual Earth Week. Each day of the week will have a theme along with virtual activities that you can participate in to make a difference. Activities range from a wildlife photo contest, calculating your carbon footprint and eating vegetarian for the day, riding your bike to work/school through Tahoe Bike Challenge, or picking up trash on a nature walk. To learn more go here. In addition, the Parks and Recreation Department also added a few additional events to Earth week ranging from a Virtual 5k to a Nature Scavenger Hunt.
