[ARCHIVED] Red Flag Warning in effect until 10:00 pm this evening

South Lake Tahoe, CA- The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for critical fire weather conditions until 10:00 p.m. PDT this evening, Thursday, August 5, 2021, for the greater Lake Tahoe area. This means no open flames are allowed including gas and liquid propane gas fire pits/grills and pellet grills/smokers. 

The actual hours of Red Flag Warnings may vary by the specific atmospheric conditions; check the NOAA website or follow them on social media for the latest Red Flag timing. Warning for gusty winds and low humidity. Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph. Higher gusts are likely in wind-prone areas and along exposed terrain.
