The City of South Lake Tahoe City Manager has activated the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as of 6am on Saturday, 8/21. We are continually monitoring the Caldor Fire and are in contact with El Dorado County, Douglas County, Lake Valley Fire District, CalFire and others to ensure we have the most updated information to provide to the public. We currently do NOT have evacuation warnings or orders in place. If the situation changes, we will immediately notify you via this Facebook page, the South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue and @SLTPD Facebook pages, at https://www.cityofslt.us/AlertCenter.aspx...,  and via email and text emergency notification alerts. Please be sure you are signed up to receive these alerts from the City of South Lake Tahoe (http://www.cityofslt.us/signup)  and from El Dorado County (http://ready.edso.org/).
