[ARCHIVED] Snow operations kick off early this year

Plow Zones

It looks like Winter has arrived in South Lake Tahoe! Staff from our City's Public Works department have been working hard since early this morning snow plowing our city streets. As a reminder, if you are on the roads, please drive slow and stay safe.

Did you know that the city streets are broken out into 8 plow zones? View the map to see which zone you are located in. Also, to learn more about plow zones and the priority for city streets, visit the City's Public Works Snow Removal page and check out the Snow Removal Plan by going here

As a reminder, for the most current updates on snow operations, go to the City's Twitter page @cityofslt.

Please also join us on Saturday, November 6 from 10 am-11: 30 am for our Town Hall on Snow Operations. Staff from our Public Works department will discuss what to expect this season, snow removal, and how we can work together to be ready for winter. Come see the City's snow plows which will be on display in the City Hall parking area. Don't miss out on this family friendly event! Event is being held at City Hall in the City Council Chambers located at 1901 Lisa Maloff Way.
