The City's Lead Safe Tahoe program has partnered with Lake Tahoe Community College to provide Lead Safe Worker Training. We are offering a Renovator, Repair, Painter (RRP) course for local construction workers next Saturday, December 8th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The cost is $50. (Additional workshop fees are paid for by the City of South Lake Tahoe grant funding.)
The class will be held at the LTCC campus. Bring your own lunch.
This 1-day class explains how to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency's RRP rule.
Subjects covered include: health effects, regulations, lead safe work practices, containment, cleaning and record keeping. After passing an end-of-class exam, students receive RRP certificates.

A Spanish-language class is scheduled for January 19, 2013.
