The City of South lake Tahoe is currently recruiting for the position of Code Enforcement Officer - Temporary. Under the general supervision of the Principle Community Service Officer, the Code Enforcement Officer performs a wide variety of work related to enforcement of City ordinances, codes, laws, regulations and validation programs affecting the aesthetic health & welfare and public peace and safety of the City of South Lake Tahoe. Code Enforcement Officer is a temporary position assigned a full range of code enforcement duties with assistance and direction from the Principle Community Service Officer; who works independently and exercises sound judgment in the application of policies and procedures related to issuing notice of violations related to code enforcement. Incumbent is expected to become increasingly knowledgeable of city laws, ordinances, procedures and practices pertaining to code enforcement. Applications are due by 5pm on May 14, 2013.
