The City of South Lake Tahoe is currently recruiting for the following positions:
Street Maintenance Worker – Seasonal - This is the entry-level maintenance class in the Street Maintenance Worker series performing routine and less complex manual, semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance of streets and other public services areas. Positions at this level are not expected to function with the same amount of program knowledge or skill level as positions allocated to the Heavy Equipment Operator level and exercise less independent discretion and judgment in matters related to work procedures and methods. Work is usually supervised while in progress and fits an established structure or pattern. Exceptions or changes in procedures are explained in detail as they arise.
Storm Water Program Coordinator - The Storm Water Program Coordinator is considered an advanced journey level technical position with responsibility for, or participating in, on-going projects or programs as assigned. Positions in this class possess the applicable education and experience to perform duties independently with only occasional instruction or assistance and are fully aware of the procedures and policies regarding assigned areas. Incumbents in this class provide a variety of complex, responsible, and technical support in the area of environmental issues. Incumbents are expected to be fully competent with personal computers, GIS, data base, spreadsheet and other software applications to create correspondence, complex reports, charts, spreadsheets, educational materials and other relevant documents or materials.
