[ARCHIVED] South Lake Tahoe Summer Roadway Construction Update for September 1st-7th

*Lane closures are restricted until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 because of the Labor Day holiday.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) in South Lake Tahoe: Work continues on completing a $43 million water-quality and roadway improvement project from the Trout Creek Bridge to Ski Run Boulevard. Landscaping, striping and electrical work is scheduled for summer 2013. Completion is expected in early fall.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Trout Creek to Ski Run Boulevard: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating #2 lane and shoulder closures from midnight to 11 a.m. Wednesday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do landscaping work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) in South Lake Tahoe: Work continues on a $7.3 project from just west of Ski Run Boulevard to Wildwood Avenue adding curbs, gutters, sidewalks, new drainage systems and repaving the highway. Completion is expected by 2014.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Fairway Avenue to Wildwood Avenue: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane and shoulder closures around the clock from 10 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m. Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do grinding and paving work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) in South Lake Tahoe: Work continues on a $12.1 million project from the "Y" intersection of Highways 50 and 89 to the South Lake Tahoe Airport adding curbs, gutters, sidewalks and new drainage systems and repaving the highway. Completion is expected by 2014.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Airport North Road to the "Y": Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating nighttime lane and shoulder closures from 8 p.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, and alternating daytime lane and shoulder closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. A contractor is scheduled to do drainage work and erosion control construction.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Chiapa Drive to Cirugu Street in Meyers: Motorists can expect one-way traffic control from 4 p.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.

U.S. Highway 50 (El Dorado County) from Tahoe Keys Boulevard to Tulare Avenue/Al Tahoe Boulevard in South Lake Tahoe: Eastbound and westbound motorists can expect alternating lane closures from 4 p.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. A contractor is scheduled to do bridge work.
