[ARCHIVED] Parks, Recreation and Tourism Community Workshops

El Dorado County, Douglas County, and the City of South Lake Tahoe are hosting two community workshops on December 11-12, 2013 to discuss the role that outdoor recreation plays in enhancing tourism and community livability for the South Shore. This is a great opportunity for residents to share their insights about parks, recreation, trails, events and programs, so that recreation opportunities can be improved in the future.

All South Shore residents are invited to attend whichever workshop best fits their schedule.

A large group discussion about the community’s future vision for parks, recreation and trails, plus the role recreation should play in supporting tourism and economic vitality.

This is the community’s chance to help shape the future of recreation and tourism for the South Shore. Anyone ages 15 and over is invited to participate and share their ideas. Residents are encouraged to invite their colleagues, friends, and co-workers to join us this important conversation about the future.

For more information, please contact Tracy Franklin, Public Information Officer at the City of South Lake Tahoe, at (530) 542-6093. Information is also provided on the City’s parks master plan website: http://www.cityofslt.us/recmasterplan
