The City Planning Commission is hosting a public workshop on January 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the City Council Chambers located in South Lake Tahoe at 1901 Airport Road to discuss the City’s role in addressing housing issues and provide input on the draft Housing Element.
The City Development Services Department is updating the Housing Element, a state-mandated component of the City’s General Plan that examines a wide array of housing issues in the City. In November, the City introduced the update process, received initial public input and discussed priority housing issues at a City Planning Commission meeting. Since then, staff and consultants have prepared a draft Housing Element for public review and feedback.
