[ARCHIVED] Welcome Home Celebration for Local Olympians: Free Parking and Shuttles Available

Welcome Home local Olympians Jamie Anderson, Maddie Bowman and Hannah Teter tomorrow at Sierra-at-Tahoe.

Sierra’s parking lots are expected to fill to capacity, so attendees are encouraged to take a free shuttle from South Lake Tahoe and Meyers.

Shuttle service to the ski area is being offered from 3 locations: Meyers Downtown Cafe, the Lake Tahoe Environmental Magnet School located at 1095 East San Bernardino Avenue, and the Lake Tahoe Airport. Shuttles will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue southbound until 2:00 p.m. Parking in these three designated areas is free.

Buses are running on a first come first served basis. Heavy traffic is expected which could impact bus routes and times, so getting on the early buses is recommended.

Return service from Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort begins at 3:30 pm.

Community members can watch the vehicle procession and cheer for the Olympians as they go by. The procession is leaving from South Tahoe High School at 1:00. It will pass by the "Y" and continue southbound along Highway 50 to Meyers.
