[ARCHIVED] Avoid Upper Truckee Restoration Project Area

Recently, visitors have observed in the area of construction activity occurring on a section of the Upper Truckee River located adjacent to the Airport, which is dangerous and should be avoided.

The construction activity involves heavily loaded dump trucks and other heavy equipment are using the paved access road that extends from Lodi Avenue (near the west end of Barbara Avenue in the Sierra Tract) to the Upper Truckee River. Several bike paths also cross through the construction zone; please use an alternative route that does not cross through the construction site. The construction site is closed to the public during construction. Please avoid the area of construction for you own safety (see construction area map). Those choosing to ignore warnings could be prosecuted for unlawful trespassing.
