The City of South Lake Tahoe’s new eComment feature is available for the next City Council meeting on June 16, 2015 at 9am.
How does eComment work? When the agenda is posted online, a public eComment link is placed in the agenda under the staff report for a specific item. Before the City Council meeting, citizens not only have the opportunity to read the staff reports, they can click on the online public eComment link, complete the form online, and submit their comments on the item.
The public eComment online system helps for your voice to be heard in the democratic process. The City Council can receive public comments on current agenda items via this website. Citizens complete a web comment form which is embedded into the online Council agenda packet.
To utilize eComment, log onto the City of South Lake Tahoe website prior to a meeting, (www.cityofslt.us) and click on “Agendas and Minutes” on the homepage. The June 16, 2015 agenda is posted. Click on the “eComment” link to submit your comment for an upcoming meeting’s agenda.
